Become a partner attorney
We are building a network of partner attorneys and are recruiting attorneys state by state as cases arrive. We prepare the documents; you review and approve them, sign, and are the filer of record. You set your own flat fee.
What is available today. Evictions API is a sandbox beta, in test mode only. Available today: sign-up for a free sandbox account, the online case form, the REST API and a sandbox with a fictional test state, where a built-in sandbox reviewer reviews cases automatically, you can step them through to close and receive webhooks. Not available yet: serving notices or filing in court for a real case, in any state, live mode, which would accept real cases and online checkout.
How the partner network is designed to work
A case arrives in your state
Cases come on demand. When a case is submitted for a property in a state where you are licensed and verified, it can be assigned to you. You are not asked to take cases outside your state. The platform prepares the documents
Before a case reaches you it has passed the intake checks: proof of the client’s authority over the property, the facts the state’s rules require, a reconciled rent ledger, and federal and local protections where they apply. The notice and later the court packet are generated from the state’s rules, with the source of every deadline. You review, approve or return
You see the case with its documents and approve it, return it with reasons, or ask for changes. Your approval covers the exact documents you reviewed: if anything changes, nothing is served or filed until you approve again. You sign and are the filer of record
Two filing paths are planned, and neither is available yet: you filing through your own court account and recording the result on the case, or, where a court e-filing connection exists, the packet being filed under your account. You handle the hearing and record the outcome and any writ.
Your fee
You will set a flat fee. The design is that the client pays it directly to you and sees it before paying; online payment is in development. We will not take a share of it; our platform fee will be charged separately.
Your judgment
The platform is software, not a law firm. You decide whether a notice or packet goes out, and you can return any case that should not go forward.
Cases on demand
No state is open yet, and no partner attorney is signed. We are recruiting attorneys state by state as demand appears, and volume in your state will depend on demand there.
What we will ask for
- An active license in good standing in each state where you take cases.
- Experience with residential landlord-tenant matters in that state.
- Prompt review of notices and court packets, within the deadlines shown on each case.
- A written partner agreement.
We verify your bar admission before any case is assigned.
